H.M.S. Glamorgan, a County Class Guided Missile Destroyer, was commanded by Captain M.E. Barrow, D.S.O., a Task Unit Commander. She was hit by a land-based exocet in the early hours of 12 June, having ably contributed towards the bombardment of Mounts Harriet and Tumbledown. The resultant fires took over two hours to get under control, her initial casualty return listing 9 dead, 4 missing, 14 wounded, 1 seriously. Despite these statistics, she quickly rejoined the Task Force.
