2nd Lieutenant Albert Edward Christian York Bramble was born in June 1894 and joined the Royal Flying Corps in late 1916. Subsequently commissioned as a Kite Balloon Officer (Pilot), he would appear to have served in France with No. 7 Balloon Wing at the end of 1917; sold with a copy portrait photograph from the archive of the Royal Air Force
