Lieutenant Barnett Albert Harvey was born in January 1874 and commissioned into the Argyll and Sutherland Highlanders from the Militia in June 1896. Shortly afterwards employed in the operations on the Punjab Frontier with the Tochi Field Force, he was advanced to Lieutenant in April 1898. This appears to be his final appointment, his name disappearing from the Army List in 1904.
