Lot Essay

Captain Samuel Ogden Stewart entered the Salonika Theatre of War as a Private in the West Lancashire Field Ambulance (T.F.) in June 1917, and subsequently gained a Commission in the Royal Army Medical Corps.

Lieutenant Charles R. Wylie was commissioned into the "Wavy Navy" in January 1916 and was attached to the Royal Naval Air Service as a Topographist for No. 12 Kite Balloon Section in British East Africa. Serving in the latter theatre from February to October 1916, he was invalided home for reasons unknown at the end of the year.

2nd Lieutenant Archibald Taylor Cameron entered the Mesopotamian Theatre of War as a Subaltern in the 1st City of London Sanitary Service, R.A.M.C. in May 1916, a location that undoubtedly kept him busy.
