A pair of Chinese bronze models of caparisoned elephants
carrying flaring vases on their backs with mask and loose-ring handles decorated with scrolling motifs, the saddle cloths decorated with scrolling lotus with a key-fret border, the heads turned to one side with trunks slightly raised, on prunus and ruyi spray carved and pierced stands -- 14½in. (36.9cm.) high, 17/18th Century, (old wear).
