Edwards & Darly featured in their New Book of Chinese Designs, 1754 were adapted for patterns for related ribbon-tied branch furniture issued anonymously in the 1790s and entitled 'Ideas for Rustic Furniture' (E. White, Pictorial Dictionary of British 18th Century Furniture Design, Woodbridge, 1990, p.298).
