A Danish ormolu-mounted stained sycamore commode
Early 19th century
The canted slightly breakfront simulated lapis lazuli scagliola top with a moulded edge above a panelled door with ebonised border and inset simulated lapis lazuli scagliolia lozenge, enclosing two shelves, flanked by plain panels and plain pilasters, on square tapering later legs, the reverse with printed label '223302', and with two further similar labels, one inscribed in ink '3', the other with insignia below and crown and with motto 'PAX ET PATRIA'
