Lot Essay

This work was originally written for Abu al-S'adat Malik al-Zahir Faraj b. Sultan Abu Sa'id Barquq, Mamluk sultan of Egypt between 1382 and 1399. The present copy was prepared for an Ottoman minister named Abi Bakr b. Rustem b. Ahmad al-Sherwani who died in AH 1135/1723 AD.
