Poetry, Persian manuscript on buff paper, 20ff. each with 10ll. of very fine small black nasta'liq arranged in two columns separated by a column of gold floral meander, the sections separated by a similarly decorated panel, the text set within pale coloured margins with gold floral and bird illumination, staining and light wear at edges of pages, opening folio with fine gold and polychrome illumination, light staining of margin area, one later full-page miniature, light flaking, final folio with colophon signed Sultan 'Ali and dated 905, in fine gold Safavid tooled leather binding with scenes from Kalila wa Dimna, rubbing and small losses
