A 24cm. diameter terrestrial table globe with text in German, made up of twelve colour printed paper gores, the equatorial and prime meridian graduated in degrees, the latter running through Ferro, the ecliptic graduated but unlabelled, the oceans showing ocean currents, the continents with some nation states hand outlined in orange, green and red, with some shading in green, and showing rivers, mountains, towns and cities, Africa without the Congo shown (numerous abrasions and discolourations, old repair to equator in the Pacific with neat redrawing, old repaired crack in south Atlantic) with punched brass meridian circle, held in a duodecahedral ebonised wooden horizon with applied printed paper circle graduated in days of the houses of the Zodiac with pictures, days of the month, degrees and compass directions, each of the twelve sides with one sigil for the houses of the Zodiac (varnish darkened, some small loss and splitting), on three carved quadrant supports, to central turned ebonised pillar with three carved legs, held by iron wire at the centre a compass with printed paper card, blued-steel needle and glazed cover
