A 33cm. diameter terrestrial table globe made up of twelve chromolithographed gores and two polar calottes, the equatorial graduated in degrees in two directions, the Greenwich meridian graduated in degrees, the oceans showing ocean currents, steamship routes with ports of arrival and departure and distance in nautical miles, and submarine cables, the continents with nation states shaded and strongly outlined in orange, green, pink, blue and yellow and showing rivers, mountains, towns, cities, railway and telegraph lines (old discolourations and spotting) raised on a simple baluster turned ebonised column and plinth base with inset compass
