A small wine/sherry glass, height: 41/8in. (10.5cm.), the side engraved with the circular logo of a penguin on an ice-floe looking towards the sunrise and the horizon, all surrounded by a band reading 'National Antarctic Expedition S.Y. "Morning"'.

A souvenir of the ward-room of the Morning, the Discovery's relief ship on Scott's first expedition, commanded by William Colbeck.
