The red clay body painted in white slip with a central line of foliated stylised kufic, the sides with a broad band of inverted stylised repeating kufic calligraphy with scrolling hastae, the interstices fulled with irregularly shaped panels containing dotted motifs, the exterior with stylised plant motifs alternating with hatched panels, the whole covered with a light green glaze, repaired clean breaks, traces of iridescence
