A neolithic pottery tripod jar, Yangshao Culture, Banpo type, 4800-3600 B.C., of ovoid form raised on three short conical form legs, the body scored with vertical and horizontal patterning below the everted rim; the Qingbai jar of high shouldered ovoid form tapering sharply to the foot and rising to a short waisted neck, the sides incised with horizontal wavey line designs under a light blue glaze
