THREE GILT BRONZE ITEMS
18th and 19th centuries
Comprising: A Thai head of the Buddha, cast with a downcast expression with elongated ears, the hair arranged in tight curls rising to a domed usnisha and a ball form finial, traces of blue pigment; a figure of a bodhisattva, standing on a raised base fronted by a winged praying figure, dressed in a long dhoti with necklaces and rosette form earrings the face framed by a foliate form finial and backed by an aureole and a rope twist band reaching to the feet, the four arms holding various attributes; a small bronze of a monk, the figure standing on a lotus base holding before him a drum and stick, the swaying figure dressed in long robes with incised line design and a tall peaked cap; together with a gilt bronze garment hook, Han Dynasty, of gently curving form, cast as a stylized animal mask, the reverse with a small circular hook
