Of shallow square form, enameled with a central image of a white rooster, hen and chick before a sky blue background, bordered by a thin brown, grey and cream band of stylized flowers, signed lower right Yanagi Soetsu, the reverse worked with green, tan and dark brown shaped medallions on a turquoise ground inlaid overall with stylized foliage in gold wire
