Lot Essay

Probably Eugenie Parmentier, daughter and pupil of Gustave Morin. She exhibited miniatures at the Salon from 1859-1867 and won a medal in 1864. There is a self portrait at the Luxemburg in Paris.
On 30 September 1986 Lot 29, Christie's South Kensington sold an Alexandre fan, also signed E. Parmentier, made for Queen Isabella II of Spain.
