Three hand-coloured engraved titles, heightened in gold, two with letterpress slips mounted in the spaces provided, that for volume III with the space blank, 154 FINE HAND-COLOURED ENGRAVED MAPS, one folding, 150 double-page, 1 single-page, 2 half-page. (24 maps with small marginal tears, vol.III with small wormtrack in lower margin, affecting the image of two maps.) Publisher's vellum gilt, the covers panelled, the inner panel with elaborate blocked cornerpieces surrounding a central lozenge-shaped arabesque, the flat-backed spines divided into eight compartments, gilt and gauffered edges (ties lacking).

A FINE SELECTION, including maps of the Americas, Asia, Africa, Italy, Greece, Spain and France. Volume II is a variant of Koeman's Bl 28 and 30A: it includes the Picardia Regio Belgica (as 28) not the alternative, the Arragonia and Navarra maps have been switched around (as 30A), 'Asia' leaves 6 and 7 are both present, although 7 is not mentioned in the index (as 28 and 30A), the shield for the dedication is not blank on the Persia sive Sophorum regnum map and the signatures for the Americas leaves still read West-Indien (as 28). Volume III corresponds with 38A (the first edition in Dutch of this volume). Koeman Bl 28 or 30A and Bl 38A. (2)
