A WORCESTER (FLIGHT, BARR & BARR) ARMORIAL PART DINNER SERVICE
Circa 1807-1813, puce printed and impressed crowned monogram marks to most pieces
Painted in iron-red, en grisaille, and gilt with the arms of Blake impaling possibly Dermott or MacDermot, the wide border with overlapping ogival and leaf-shaped cartouches and flowerheads in iron-red, pink and cobalt blue enriched in gilt, comprising:
An oval two-handled soup tureen, cover and stand, 147/8in. (37.8cm.) long, the stand
Two oval sauce tureens, covers and stands
Two rectangular vegetable dishes and covers
A square salad bowl
An oval platter, 175/8in. (44.7cm.) long
An oval platter, 141/8in. (35.8cm.) long
