Late 18th Century, originally with a frieze drawer
The rectangular brown leather and gilt tooled inset top with brass-bound-edge with one deep and two shallow drawers around an arched recess, the deep drawer containing a coffre fort with writing slides to the sides, opposed by false drawers to the reverse, between brass and ebony strung blocks, on brass turned and fluted tapered legs terminating in brass caps, the handles replaced
