A PAIR OF REGENCY MAHOGANY HALL CHAIRS, POSSIBLY FRENCH
Circa 1810, the mounts late 19th Century
Each with a waisted back with reeded edge centered by a medallion of Medusa flanked by wing cherubs with a lyre mount below and musical trophy with solid seat, striped green and cream silk squab cushion with reeded bolection moulded rail and reeded sabre legs each inscribed with blue chalk '63088' to the underside, the later corner brackets each stamped E. JUNGA to both chairs, each with an inventory label numbered 1464, one bearing a possibly false stamp Jacob D R. Meslee. (2)
