Circa 1817, blue crossed swords, star and II mark
Of oval form, the ribbon-tied branch handles extending into four branch feet and with applied leaf terminals extending along the body of the tureen, the finial as a seated putto eating soup from a bowl, the cover and shoulder painted in the style of Christian Friedrich Herold with chinoiserie vignettes of people taking tea, cooking, and at other leisure pursuits, reserved within quatrefoil cartouches edged with gilt and reserved on the wide enamel green band further reserved with foliate scrolls and diaper-pattern cartouches enriched in pink, gilt line rims
