AN ITALIAN LATE BAROQUE SILVERED CONSOLE TABLE
Early 18th Century
The later lapis lazuli-veneered serpentine marble top above a scrolled apron with diaper pattern ground centered by a harpy fronting a large shell flanked by scrolling flowering acanthus, each side apron similarly decorated but without harpy on scrolled and molded cabriole legs each topped by a human head with scrolled leaf-sheathed feet, joined by an acanthus-sheathed scrolled x-stretcher, centered by a finial in the form of two opposed S-scrolls centered by a large acanthus fan, bearing a paper label inscribed 34/ in red ink, two early cross-struts now missing
35½in. (90cm.) high, 59in. (150cm.) wide, 23¾in. (60.5cm.) deep
