A FRENCH NEOCLASSIC MAHOGANY BUREAU PLAT
Late 19th Century
The rectangular top with a raised ends, each fitted with two shallow shelves, the front fitted with a central frieze drawer to eithr side and three further drawers to the right side, opposed by three false drawers between roundel applied uprights, the sides with three further false drawers raised on eight stop-fluted turned tapering legs with brass ball feet. The underside of each frieze drawer stenciled in black ink 1891, the drawers stamped with Roman numerals and one stamped 17
