Lot Essay

The design of this pair of console tables takes influence from the Gout-Grec styles initially produced in L'Oevres de Delafosse. Typical are the lion masks to the angles on the top, the acanthus scrolling to the frieze and the urn to the center of the stretcher with the spirally fluted neck and being flanked by the oak leaf swags.
