The rectangular moulded cornice above a pair of panelled doors, on the left depicting the encounter of David and Abigaïl (I Sam. 25), on the right depicting the encounter of Jacob and Rachel (Gen. 29), flanked and divided by rectangular pilasters headed by Ionic capitals, enclosing a plain interior with three shelves and two drawers to the left side and an open compartment to the right side, above a base drawer, on later ebonised bun feet
