Qianlong (1736-1795)
Of oval form, enamelled on both sides with a coat-of-arms surmounted by a coronet, between a pair of birds perched on rockwork and a similar setting with a dog and pheasant, below a honey-comb pattern border in iron-red and gilt reserved with small shaped opaque blue-ground panels, the interior of the tureen and cover with Precious Symbols, applied with crescent-shaped handles and knop finial, frittings
