A fine set of four Dutch silver candlesticks
Maker's mark of Dirk Evert Grave, Amsterdam, 1790, also stamped with a Batavian Republic mark of Amsterdam for 1795
Each on circular spreading partly fluted base with acanthus leaves border and beaded rim rising to a tapering fluted stem with plain edge band, the vase-shaped fluted sockets with vertical acanthus leaves and four removable nozzles
