Château Mouton-Rothschild--Vintage 1982
Pauillac, 1er cru classé
Lot 241: four dampstained labels. Lot 242: seven dampstained labels
Parcel: lots 242-243
"Opaque, purple-colored showing absoultely no signs of lightening, Mouton's 1982 is the most backward wine of the vintage. Still tasting like a 4-5 year old Bordeaux, it will evolve for another half a century. Is it the modern day equivalent of the 1959, or is it closer to the immortal 1945?...I have always felt the 1982 Mouton was perfect, yet this immortal effort might be capable of lasting for 100 years..."
