Decorated in iro-e takamaki-e and hiramaki-e against a roiro ground with a farmer gathering flowering autumn grasses by a riverbank, some of the leaves decorated with inlaid shell, kirigane and gold foil, the water togidashi, the reverse with a boat filled with bundles of plants, the shallow hull of the boat togidashi, and the interior of the inro nashiji; fitted with a carnelian bead ojime and soft-metal kagamibuta netsuke modelled with a stork in a gold-lacquer bowl
