Meiji Period (late 19th Century), with signature Kaiko
Carved in high relief with a branch of persimmons, the fruits inlaid in bronze and silver which continue onto the reverse, with several gold and silver inlays on the branch simulating lichens, and inlaid-silver blossoms at the bottom, the top with the Chinese proverb Hyakuji nyoi (One hundred things come true as you wish) in high relief, the fittings in silver and the signature in an inlaid silver reserve
