Arita Ware, Kakiemon Style, Edo-Meiji Period (19th-20th Century)
Moulded with eight lobes, curved and tubular spout, rounded c-shaped handle, and fitted with a circular cover; decorated in polychrome enamels on each facet with stands of flowers within line-borders of ink-blue underglaze-cobalt below a narrow band of floral scrollwork within lighter blue lines, one line repeated above the foot; the spout painted in green enamels with flower scroll and the handle in red enamel with a blossom and curlicue leaves, the cover decorated with lotus arabesques in matching enamels and lines of underglaze-blue
