Decorated on the domed lid in colored enamels and gilt over crackled clear glaze with women and children in an autumn garden above a band of gilded floral scroll on a ground of blue enamel, the ground of the lower half of the box matching and surrounding two large shaped panels of insects and flowering grasses, the interiors of the lid and well decorated with sprays of hibiscus and blossoming cherry; box supported by three stump feet
