Choson Period (19th Century)
With tall, hexagonal neck painted on the faceted lower body in vivid strokes of underglaze-cobalt with two large phoenixes separated by vertical streamers of clouds, the base of the neck also painted with a band of fretwork above a cloud collar and with a band of lappets below the everted lip, the bottle also decorated with a glossy transparent glaze with blue cast, inscribed in underglaze-blue on the recessed base with the Chinese characters for "cloud" and "wind," hexagonal foot rim unglazed
