Northeast India or Tibet, Pala Period, circa 12th Century
Finely cast seated on a beaded lotus base in lalitasana with his pendent right foot supported by a lotus blossom, holding a vajra in his right hand, his shoulders flanked on both sides by flowering lotuses, wearing a garment with stippled floral motif and beaded jewelry, his face tipped gently to the side in a serene expression supporting an elaborate headdress with hair arranged in a tiered conical style topped by a bud-shaped cintamani, remains of cold gilding to the face
