The curving toprail continuing in a broad sweep above the rounded back posts formed by the upper extensions of the rear legs and extending beyond the tapering side posts and front corner posts, the plain backsplat gently curved, the soft mat seat supported on legs enclosing curved, beaded aprons with long spandrels extending to the footrest, the stretcher frame stepped, the underside of the seat and unexposed sides of the stretchers with traces of lacquer
