Two Glazed Buff Pottery Vessels
Tang Dynasty
One a tripod globular censer decorated in pale green and cream glaze with a diamond pattern centered by amber splashes draining down the sides, the short neck also glazed amber and the everted mouth rim pale green, the interior covered with a thin yellowish glaze; the other an ovoid jar covered with a finely streaked leaf-green glaze continuing over the everted rim and falling in an irregular line above the flat base, the domed cover with knop finial similarly glazed

Lot Essay

The results of Oxford Authentication Ltd. thermoluminescence test nos. C298g35 and C298g38 are consistent with the dating of this lot.
