A Vienna turquoise-ground plate
painted with a woman wearing yellow robe, seated on stool, resting her right hand on the head of a scantily-clad boy, an urn to his side, within a circular gilt band cartouche, below turquoise-ground border, the rim gilt with a band of anthemion divided by stylised foliage, blue shield mark, Pressnummer 96 and indistinct impressed mark, circa 1796 (slight wear) -- 24.7cm. diam.
