Circa 1820
One side stained black, the opposing natural, the pieces carved to represent the French versus the Moors, the one black knight a possible replacement, the two white pawns carved as youths wearing jackets as opposed to cloaks
King -- 3¼in. (8.3cm.) high; pawn -- 2½in. (6.4cm.) high
