COMPARATIVE LITERATURE
A similar lot was sold in these Rooms, in the Silver and Objects sale, 27th February 1985, lot 10A. A comparable set representing Napoleon versus the Spanairds, Paris, early 19th century was sold, The Harbeson Chess Collection, Sotheby's New York, 4-5th October 1979, lot 399.
