Many of the Art Deco enamelled designs of the early 1930's were produced on a number of grounds including red and blue lustres and the matt turquoise ground retailed as a seperate range mattajade. Orient was the only one produced on a matt black ground which emphasised its modern design in red, green and gold lustre
