A Dutch polychrome-decorated chest
Probably Hindeloopen, late 19th Century
Decorated overall with scrolling foliage and flower-heads, the rectangular moulded top decorated with scrolling foliate arabeskes and putti, above a pair of doors, the left centred by Christus in the Temple (Luc 20:25), the right by Christus (Luc 21:1-5), enclosing a blue-painted interior with one shelf, above a spreading plinth, with later cone-shaped feet and on shaped supports
