A Dutch Colonial rosewood and ebonised bureau-on-stand
Late 19th Century
Crossbanded overall, the rectangular top above a hinged sloping flap lined with a green writing-surface, enclosing a fitted interior with a central mirrored niche, two drawers simulating four short drawers, four long drawers and a well, the sides with pierced brass carrying handles, the stand with two frieze drawers, above baluster shaped feet, joined by an X-shaped stretcher, on bun feet
