The rectangular case with four pineapple finials to the top, brass-pierced foliate quarter frets to the front and sound frets to the sides, the dial signed Jacob Sijsjes/Amsterdam on the silvered chapter ring with Roman and Arabic chapters, pierced black-painted steel hands, the matted and engraved centre with date aperture and surmounted by a rolling moonphase flanked by silvered plaques depicting several figures, the movement inscribed U.M./170752, with brocot-suspended pendulum, outside countwheel strike on a bell, restorations
