A CHIPPENDALE CARVED WALNUT HIGH CHEST-OF-DRAWERS
In two parts: the upper with broken swan's-neck pediment terminating in carved rosettes centering and flanked by flame and urn-turned finials above a rectangular case fitted with three thumbmolded short drawers, the center with carved shell issuing foliate tendrils over two thumbmolded short drawers above three garduated thumbmolded long drawers flanked by fluted chamfered sides; the lower with mid-molding over a conforming case fitted with one thumbmolded long drawer above three thumbmolded short drawers flanked by fluted chamfered sides over a shaped skirt with foliate carving on cabriole legs with shell craved knees and trifid feet
