The circular enamelled dial with Roman chapters within a gadrooned frame hung with laurel-swags and surmounted by a reeded pine-cone finial, the pierced backplate with a central rectangular shaft surmounted by a flowerhead, flanked by an imbricated panelled rectangular upright on each side and surmounted by an arched shaped cornice with pine-cone finial and foliate branches hung with drapery, the base with pearled rim hung with laurel-swags, regilt, later movement and finials
