Each in the form of a putto holding a basket of flowers and fruit on his shoulder issuing flower-sprays incorporating nozzles, on a cylindrical base with lappeted band above ribbon-tied floral garlands on a stepped lappeted turned base, fitted for electricity

Lot Essay

A pair of candelabra of identical model, possibly this pair, was sold anonymously in these Rooms, 29 April 1954, lot 104, while a related model was sold from the property of Elisabeth Parke Firestone, Christie's New York, 22-23 March 1991, lot 746.
