A LOUIS XV ORMOLU-MOUNTED KINGWOOD AND PARQUETRY COMMODE

The moulded and waved liver marble top above two short and one long drawer inlaid with concentric bands centred by a quarter-veneer, above a shaped apron with a C-scroll and foliate mount, the angles headed by a foliate and rocaille mount above a hatched band terminating in pierced C-scroll and foliate sabots, the mounts stamped ten times with the C-couronné poinçon and the top stamped twice indistinctly 'L. DE LAITRE', two handles lacking, the marble top with break and loss to back right hand edge, the marble possibly later
