A FLEMISH VERDURE TAPESTRY

Woven in wools and silks, depicting a wooded landscape with a small group of trees to the centre and large-leaf foliage to the foreground, the right with a building in the distance and the left with reeds, flanked by trees, within a foliate and floral border and later blue outer slip, the original outer slip underneath the later slip, reduced in height at bottom and in width on the left side, the border to the left in segments, minor reweaving and patching
