[LINCOLN, Abraham]. Double-sided gold medal, with a bust of Lincoln on one side and James Garfield on the other. Struck by the U.S. Mint in 1881, shortly after Garfield died, it commemorated the only two U.S. Presidents to die by an assassin's hand.
